How it Works
Step One
Choose your Memorial Tree
You can choose a tree online or in-person with the help of a Guide.

Step Two
Plan your Forest Memorial
Our team will work with you to complete all legal paperwork, schedule time in the forest, and inscribe a custom Memorial Marker.
Step three
Hosting your Forest Memorial
A Guide will meet your group in the forest, and prepare all of the materials and tools needed to combine ashes and soil, and return them to the earth beneath your tree.

Step four
Integrating ashes and soil
A Guide will support your group in integrating ashes with native forest soil in a vessel at the Memorial Table. Your group can choose to participate in this process.
Step five
Return to the earth
At your tree, the ash and soil mixture is placed in a nest of forest floor. Your group is welcome to participate and share memories.

Step six
Mark your special place
When the earth has settled, a Forest Guide will anchor your customized Memorial Marker at your tree.
